Medela pump questions/recall issue?

First – does it make a difference to buy the bigger Medela breast shields? I’m about a 38C and the ones that came with my pump seem a little bit small, but is it worth it to buy the larger ones?
Second – how many people sterilize the pump parts every time they pump? I have been using the steam bags, but I recently had one of the valves warp, so I am wondering if I should just use soap and water sometimes to avoid excess heat exposure. What do you do?
Third – Apparently there is kind of a recall on the Medela cooler bag (one came with my Pump In Style. They are saying it is safe, but an environmental group is saying it contains lead. I used the Medela pump and also breast shields. I was also larger chested like you. I had both sizes and didn’t see much of a difference with either. I did prefer the larger ones, however.
I didn’t sterilize the pump parts every time – just washed them out really well and sat them out to dry naturally. I sterilized them once a week in the steam bags. There are some nifty wipes you can use instead of soap and water if you’re out and about or pressed for time.
