Does you baby have Hipp Organic Goodnight Milk?
If so, can you tell me how you find it? Does you little one like it? Does it settle him / her well? Also is it essential to use a fast-flow teat?
I am thinking of trying my little boy on this now he is 6 months, but I’m not sure he’ll go for it if he has to have a fast-flow teat like the manufacturers say. He likes his old slow-flow ones and protests like mad every time I try him even with medium ones! (I’m talking screaming for 30 minutes or more each time I have tried.)
Please no more lectures about breast is best; I’m just asking for other’s experiences with this product.
I used this with my son and he loved it. His daytime bottles were all given at room temperature because that was how he preferred them but the bedtime one of HiiP Goodnight Milk he would take warm and I think he enjoyed the comfort of it. Even now, he’s 16 months old and he still likes a sippy cup of Goodnight Milk about a half hour or so before bed.
The fast flow teat is pretty much essential because it’s thicker than regular milk. When I first gave him it we were using slow flow teats, I tested it and even I found it almost impossible to suck it through a slow flow teat never mind the baby. Even though you’re using a fast flow teat the milk still comes out fairly slowly, it’s just easier for the baby to get it. The fast flow teat is needed because it has a bigger hole which is better for the thicker milk (if that makes sense?).
Goodnight Milk isn’t an essential but I used it and liked it and it became part of our bedtime routine to have a warm drink – it’s no different to you or I having a Horlicks really.
